Catalogue Note

This veduta belongs to a series of landscape drawings which seem to have been made by both Giovanni Battista and Domenico Tiepolo between the spring of 1757 and the summer of 1759.  Almost all are executed in pen and wash, and represent a variety of urban and country views, and studies of gates.
