Condition

Window mounted on a modern card backing. There is evidence of some very minor surface dirt to the sheet and what appears to be a small repaired tear to the lower right corner. There is a small abrasion to the lower centre of the sheet. The combination of media remains very fresh and vibrant throughout with the image strong. Sold unframed.

It has been suggested that this drawing may be by a member of the De Bray family, but although the subject, and some details of handling such as the rather pointed facial types, are somewhat reminiscent of their style, no compelling comparisons can be made with any known drawings by a member of the family.
