Condition

Laid down on a modern paper support which has in turn been hinged to a modern mount. There is an old vertical joining line running down the centre of the sheet. There is a small repaired hole to the upper centre of the sheet around the left hand of one of the nymphs, and further old repairs to the lower centre and lower right corner of the sheet. There are some old studio stains and minor areas of surface dirt throughout the sheet. The medium itself remains in predominantly good condition, with the pen and ink, was and white heightening all retaining their freshness. The image itself also remains strong.
