Condition

Hinged to the mount at the upper margin. Light scattered foxing throughout sheet, more concentrated in the upper right and lower right corners of the sheet. Medium remains fresh and vibrant.

There are very few surviving drawings by the landscape artist, Andrea Locatelli, who was considered one of the most important painters of landscape in Rome, working for prestigious families including the Ruspolis, Albanis and Ottonbonis.
