This very interesting sheet bears on the recto several studies for an unidentified equestrian monument, surmounting several options for an elaborate fountain base. Some of the fantastic elements adorning the bases, with a highly decorative vocabulary, are reminiscent of Pietro Tacca's inventiveness. There are two ground plans indicating the different shapes for the monument, which incorporates some sort of armorial shields, and reliefs.
Trace of an old fold and dirt to the left upper margin and corner. Tiny nicks and very tiny tear around the upper, lower and left margins. Some slight soiling also around the edges (recto and verso). Some grey staining on the upper right corner and two at the bottom margin (verso).
