  • Porcelain
painted with flower sprays and small sprigs, the gilt-edged shaped-rims decorated with striped green and gilded interlaced ribbons, comprising:
8 wine coasters, 14.5cm., 5 3/4 in. diameter;
2 leaf-shaped sauceboats and stands, the stands, 20.5cm., 8in. long;
three trencher salts, 9cm., 3 1/2 in. wide;
three pierced oval baskets and pierced stands, the stands 24cm., 9 1/2 in. wide;
5 plates, 25.6cm., 10 1/8 in. diameter;
43 smaller plates, 22.8cm., 9in. diameter;
30 soup plates, 23.5cm., 9 1/4 in. diameter;
2 circular dishes, 31cm., 13 1/4 in. diameter;
6 oval dishes, 25.6cm., 10in. wide;
and 2 oval serving dishes, 34.5cm., 13 5/8 in. wide;
anchor marks in iron-red

Condition

In overall good appearance. The service could benefit from a light cleaning. In general there is some rubbing to the gilding along the rims of the pieces throughout the service, some scattered flaking to the green enamel of the ribbon borders, and areas of glaze-wear as a result of stacking. two wine coasters with a hairline crack to rim, another with three hairline cracks; The sauce boats with some minor kiln speckling/pitting to footrims, and to a handle; 1 trencher salt with an old repair to one foot, 1 pierced basket stand with a hairline crack, 1 pierced basket with two hairline cracks to body. 5 soup plates with a hairline body crack and some wear to enamels, 1 soup plate with a hairline crack to rim, 1 soup plate with a flat rim chip, 2 soup plates with some kiln abrasion to the underside, 1 plate with a hairline crack to rim and two body cracks, 2 plates with a hairline body crack, 1 plate with a hairline crack to rim, and 1 plate with a small area of crazing, 1 plate with three burst air bubbles to the underside.
