Condition

The copper plate is stable, the paint surface is clean and the varnish is clear and even. Small surface abrasions are visible in the lower right and lower left-hand corners, with associated retouching in the latter. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals this, as well as some further retouchings scattered along the lower margin, but otherwise the painting appears to be in very good condition. Offered in a carved and gilt wood frame in very good condition.
