Catalogue Note

“Many of his works are strongly evocative of a peaceful, beautiful and poetic world. The atmosphere he was able to create is not unlike that which exists in a Chinese painting – harmonious with a dream-like quality, and totally undisturbed in its tranquillity… doves in pairs symbolise a good match, which  may be further extended to mean ‘peaceful coexistence’.”  – Excerpt from “III: All About The Man”, Lee Man Fong: Oil Paintings Volume I, Art Retreat Ltd., Singapore, 2005, p. 76
