Quest'opera è accompagnata da certificato firmato dall'artista) In 2009 Gillo Dorfles interviewed Mauro Staccioli in light of the ‘Circle’ work situated in Volterra, of which this sculpture is a scaled down model. Staccioli recounted how a huge rainstorm had led the terrain to collapse. He said that the first to sound the alarm and to interest themselves in the restoration of the work was a farmer who, proposing to secure the ring to the earth with a cement base, highlighted its importance to him.
