Catalogue Note
The arms are those of Guaita, from Como (Lombardia) who migrated to Germany in the 17th century. This rich bankers family settled in Frankfurt. One member , Antoine- Marie Guaita (1722-1808) became private advisor to Charles-Thomas, 3rd Prince Löwenstein-Wertheim-Rochefort, born in Augsburg.
