Condition
The panel is flat, stable, uncradled, and bevelled on all four edges. The image reads strongly beneath a clear varnish and retains good detail. Inspection under UV reveals a varnish that fluoresces unevenly in some areas, as well as a very few number of small and scattered spots of retouching in the sky, some to address old faint dents, and a few spots along lower and right edges. No further work is needed at this time and the painting can hang in its present state. Offered in a decoratively carved giltwood frame.
