Condition

The painting appears to be either unlined or very thinly lined. The painting presents a lovely and crisp image beneath a fresh varnish. The details are well-preserbed, particularly in the still-life. Faint stretcher bar marks are visible at extreme edges. Inspection under UV reveals some finely applied retouching along the lower edge. Some retouching visible in the shadows of the lower left, as well as some finely applied strokes scattered here and there in the still life, for example along right edge of silver dish as well as at the center of it's stem. Some fine spots in the white blanket. Offered in a carved gilt and painted frame.
