Condition

There is a relining which is firm and stable. The paint surface has generally been well preserved and there is lovely retention of detail and strong coloration. There are some slightly pressed areas in some of the grapes at center and in some of the foliage, but this is not distracting. Examination under UV light reveals only some minor retouching in the upper background, and along the bottom edge and side of the table. A few minor ones here and there on or around some of the fruit. This painting is presentable and can be hung as is. Offered in a carved and gilt wood frame.
