Condition

The canvas is lined. The painting is in good condition and presents a detailed image with the paint surface well preserved as seen with the vivid scene unfolding in the foreground. Some scattered thin lines and small dots of retouches are visible to the naked eye on the sky, like for example on the top right corner. Inspection under UV shows further smaller scattered spots of retouches to the sky, while one at top center could possibly be to address an old repair. Very small spots of retouches that are not too distracting fluoresce here and there on the water and foreground, the most noticeable one at right on the stone ledge. The painting can hang it its present state and is offered in a carved gilded wood frame
