Description

Set with a cushion-cut emerald weighing 18.20 carats, between trapeze diamond shoulders, size 6¼, together with a diamond-set pendant fitting.

Condition

The ring in good condition with scattered superficial scratches to the metalwork primarily at the base of the shank. Stamped PLAT for platinum and 1820 indicating the weight of the emerald. The emerald of slightly bluish green hue, medium deep tone, moderately strong to strong saturation; scattered subtly eye visible inclusions and minute surface-reaching inclusions under 10x magnification do not significantly impact the overall transparency. The two trapezoid-shaped step-cut diamonds weighing approximately 1.40 carats, approximately F-G color, VS clarity. The pendant mounting set with a pear-shaped diamond weighing approximately 0.70 carat and a round diamond weighing approximately 0.20 carat; a jeweler is needed in order to remount the emerald as a pendant. Accompanied by AGL report no. CS 54964 dated May 13, 2013 stating that the emerald is of Colombian origin, clarity enhancement: minor to moderate, type: modern. Accompanied by Gübelin report no. 0803267 dated March 31, 2008 stating that the emerald is of Colombian origin, clarity enhancement: minor. Accompanied by GIA report no. 15038010 dated May 17, 2006 stating that the diamond weighing 0.70 carat is F color, VS2 clarity.
