Description

The cushion-shaped sapphire weighing 12.39 carats, framed and within a shank set throughout with round diamonds, size 5¾, with sizing beads, signed Tiffany & Co., numbered 26790247. With signed box.

Condition

In very good condition. Mounted in platinum. The sapphire is a medium violetish blue color and is eye-clean with small fingerprint inclusions seen under 10x magnification. The diamonds, estimated to weigh a total of approximately 0.70 carat, are approximately G-I color and VS clarity. Fitted with sizing beads causing it to register as size 4½, but accommodates a size 5¾ to 6 finger. Accompanied by AGL report no. 1094607 stating that the sapphire is of Madagascar origin, with no evidence of heating. Accompanied by AGTA report no. 99022110 dated October 3, 2007, stating that the sapphire is of natural origin, with no indications of heating. Accompanied by a Tiffany & Co. Retail Replacement Valuation dated August 5, 2010.
