Description

Comprising: a gold charm designed as an elephant, its head adorned with a cabochon ruby, the eyes set with single-cut diamonds, further highlighted with round sapphires, signed Van Cleef et Arpels, numbered 81473, with French workshop mark; a textured gold charm bordered with black enamel, opening to reveal a picture frame with a black and white photo of a girl, signed Cartier London, numbered 1290, with British hallmarks; circa 1930; a pair of gold cufflinks set with four coral cabochons, accented by black enamel; circa 1930; and a gold stickpin collet-set with an oval-shaped blue glass intaglio depicting a jugate portrait laureate of Roman Imperial type, with the letters OMONIOU, with French assay and workshop marks; late 19th century.

Condition

All pieces in overall good condition with typical surface wear. CHARM: Light patination to the gold; small perforation to the elephant's belly. Gross weight approximately 9 dwts. The medium deep blue sapphires decorative in quality; the medium slightly purplish pear-shaped ruby with surface-reaching inclusions. Diamonds approximately H-I color, VVS-VS clarity. Measures approximately 1⅛ x ⅞ inch. CHARM: Small losses to the enamel seen on close inspection. Gross weight approximately 24 dwts; British assay marks for 18K gold. The front cover doubles as a stand for use as a travel picture frame. Case measures approximately 1⅜ x 1 inch. STICKPIN: the intaglio in good condition with patination commensurate with age, the underside of the mounting revealing a mirror image of the double-portrait as a gold cameo. The pin stamped with French assay and maker's mark A P bisected by two stars. Accompanied by a fitted box signed Cartier. Length approximately 2¾ inches. CUFFLINKS: Stamped 14K. The enamel and carnelian in good condition. Gross weight approximately 7 dwts.
