Description

Comprising: a necklace designed as a line of round diamonds splitting at the front into two rows, set at intervals with fancy colored diamonds weighing from 2.01 carats to 0.73 carat, length 17 inches, signed VCA, numbered ML4178, with French assay and workshop marks; and a pair of earrings, each set with round Fancy Dark Orangy Brown diamonds weighing 2.22 and 2.08 carats and rectangular diamonds of yellow hue, signed VCA, numbered SU0516, with maker's mark. The necklace with signed box.

Condition

In good condition, with only very minor surface scratches to the mounting not noticeable when worn. The necklace with partially rubbed French assay mark for 18 karat (white) gold; the earrings stamped PT950 for platinum-iridium alloy, the butterfly backings stamped with 750 for 18 karat (white) gold. The necklace is accompanied by Van Cleef & Arpels Insurance Valuation dated September 8, 2006 stating that the (near-colorless) round diamonds weigh approximately 32.72 carats; they are estimated to be approximately F-G color, VS clarity. The rectangular diamonds in the earrings, estimated to weigh a total of approximately 1.00 carat, are of medium light greenish yellow hue, approximately VS-SI clarity. Please note that the rectangular diamonds of yellow hue have not been tested for origin of color.
