Designed as a pair of gold flowers set with old European-cut diamonds, one of yellow hue, one flower embellished with antique square-cut diamonds, with French assay and maker's mark; circa 1940.

Condition

In good condition, the gold with minor wear to the surface commensurate with age. French assay marks for gold and maker's marks for René Boivin on both clip-brooches and the carrier. The diamond of yellow hue calculated to weigh approximately 1.85 carats, approximately SI1 clarity. On the same clip-brooch, the largest near colorless diamond calculated to weigh approximately 1.34 carats. The remaining diamonds on that clip-brooch estimated to weigh approximately 2.50 carats. On the second clip-brooch, the largest old European-cut diamond calculated to weigh approximately 1.15 carats; the remaining diamonds estimated to weigh a total of 3.20 carats. The near colorless diamonds are approximately G-H color, predominantly VS-SI clarity; the diamond calculated to weight 1.15 carats is approximately I clarity, with some chips and abrasion to facet and girdle edges visible under 10x magnification. Length of clip-brooches approximately 1⅞ inch and 2¼ inches respectively. Total gross weight approximately 23 dwts.
