Designed as a gold genie holding a bottle releasing a carved sapphire lion's head, measuring approximately 17.8 x 16.0 x 10.1 mm, accented with lines of round and single-cut diamonds, and calibré-cut rubies and yellow sapphires, gross weight approximately 29 dwts, one yellow sapphire missing.


In good condition, with minor surface scratches and discoloration to the mounting commensurate with wear. Inscribed 18K for 18 karat yellow gold, the lines of diamonds mounted in platinum. The sapphire, stated to weigh approximately 27.5 carats, is translucent medium blue, heavily included. The rubies are a medium, strongly purplish red color, eye-clean. The yellow sapphires are a medium yellow color, eye-clean, with one small missing stone by the spout of the genie's bottle. The diamonds, estimated to weigh a total of approximately 2.50 carats, are approximately G-H color, predominantly VS clarity. Overall length approximately 2¾ inches. Accompanied by AGL report no. CS 33540 dated January 6, 2000, stating that the sapphire is of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating.
