Designed as a line of brilliant-cut diamonds, supporting a detachable pendant set with an oval sapphire weighing 9.46 carats, within a frame of brilliant-cut diamonds, length approximately 420mm, maker's mark for Gübelin.

Condition

Accompanied by SSEF report no. 103012, stating that the pear-shaped sapphire weighing 9.46 carats, measuring 15.52 x 11.71 x 6.35 mm, is of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating. Maker's mark for Gübelin and stamped 750 for 18 carat gold. Inscribed S ct 9.46 for stated carat weight of the sapphire, and B ct 65.01 for total stated carat weight of the diamonds. Diamonds on average H-I colour, VS-SI clarity, as graded within the limitations of the mount. Sapphire blue of medium strong saturation, with typical inclusions, small surface reaching feathers, minor abrasions to facet junctions. Minor evidence of wear to the metal. In very good condition. Clasp closes securely. Gross weight approximately 51 grams.
