Description

The strand of cultured pearls, highlighted with spheres set with brilliant-cut diamonds highlighted with cabochon sapphires, the front supporting a similarly set plaque centering on a step-cut sapphire, length approximately 375mm, signed Cartier, numbered, French assay mark for gold and maker's mark.

Condition

Signed Cartier Paris, numbered 228371, French maker's mark and stamped 750 for 18 carat gold. Cultured pearls of white body colour with slight rosé overtones, good lustre, and good surface. Step-cut sapphire measuring approximately 13.01 x 9.75 x 6.57mm, blue of medium strong saturation, with typical inclusions minor abrasions. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 4.00 - 4.50 carats, on average G-H colour, VS clarity, as gauged and graded in the mount. Minor evidence of wear to the metal. Clasp secure with safety chain. In very good condition. Gross weight approximately 60 grams.
