Set with a cabochon sapphire weighing 27.63 carats, within a surround of brilliant-cut diamonds, the shoulders of scroll design set with tapered baguette diamonds, size 50, signed Van Cleef & Arpels, numbered, French assay mark for platinum, fitted case stamped Van Cleef & Arpels.

Condition

Accompanied by SSEF report no. 99485, stating that the cabochon sapphire weighing 27.63 carats, measuring 19.95 x 16.83 x 8.42mm, is of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating and minor oil. Signed VAN CLEEF & ARPELS, numbered 67246, stamped PT950 for platinum. Sapphire of strong saturation, with typical inclusions, some surface reaching, minor scratches. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 3.25 - 3.75 carats, on average G-H colour, VS clarity, as gauged and graded in the mount. Signs of wear to the metal consistent with age and wear. In very good condition. Gross weight approximately 19 grams.
