Description

Set with a sugarloaf emerald weighing 20.03 carats, embellished with brilliant-cut diamonds, mounted in 18 karat yellow gold, size 6, ring guard fitting.

Condition

Accompanied by AGL report no. 1093069, dated 19 June 2018, stating that the emerald is of Colombian origin, AGL further stating Classic™ Colombian, with no enhancements; also accompanied by AGL Appendix letter stating '...this notable gem exhibits a saturated green color...Emeralds of such color and quality are thought to have originated from the Muzo mining district...Classic™ Colombian emeralds in sizes of 20 carats possessing such an exemplary combination of color, clarity, absence of enhancement and fine cut are rare and a tribute to the delicate balance that nature must maintain for such gems to form.' Also accompanied by a SSEF report no. 102569, dated 20 September 2018, stating that the emerald is of Colombian origin, with no indications of clarity modification in fissures at the time of testing; further accompanied by a SSEF appendix stating that a natural emerald from Colombian of this size and quality can be considered rare and exceptional. Emerald is medium to dark green of strong saturation, with minor blemishes and typical natural inclusions, few surface reaching under 10x magnification but not noticeable with naked eyes. Diamonds weighing approximately 4.00 carats in total are on average F-G colour, VS clarity as gauged and graded in the mount. Minor signs of wear to metal. Overall in very good condition.
