Description

  • Largest pear-shaped cabochon approximately 22.40 x 10.61 x 3.88mm.
Designed as a mermaid playing a diamond-set and black enamel harp, embellished with highly translucent bright green jadeite rod and russet jadeite cabochon, the face set with a highly translucent colourless jadeite cabochon, the body set with apple green jadeite cabochons of good and high translucency, embellished with diamonds of yellow and near colourless tint, variously coloured sapphires and rubies, mounted in 18 karat white, blackened and yellow gold.

Condition

Accompanied by Hong Kong Jade & Stone Laboratory certificate numbered SJ 164575, dated 5 February 2018, stating that the jadeite tested is natural, known in the trade as "A Jade". Please refer to certificate for further details. Inscribed 750 for 18 karat white, blackened and yellow gold, O0.16ct, PK0.32ct, R0.02ct, D1.01ct, Y0.82ct and P0.59ct referring to the total weight of orange sapphires, pink sapphires, rubies, diamonds, yellow diamonds and purple sapphires respectively. All jadeite of high translucency, bright green, apple green, colourless and bright russet colour. Under strong illumination; the colourless jadeite with a few white specks; green jadeite with some clouds and internal fissures with a few surface reaching, one jadeite with fine brown veins, one with a minor scratch; and the russet jadeite suffused with intense russet veins, some minor internal fissures with a few surface reaching; but majority are hardly noticeable under normal lighting. Coloured sapphires are of orange, violetish purple, orangy pink to pink colour, of light to medium saturantion; rubies of purplish red to red colour, deep saturation; all with typical inclusions. Diamonds are bright and lively. Metal shows little signs of wear, overall in very good condition. Please note that the diamonds of yellow tint have not been tested for natural colour origin.
