Description

  • Sapphire, Diamond, Gold
Set with a sugarloaf sapphire weighing 24.22 carats, the gallery decorated with oval and brilliant-cut diamonds, mounted in 18 karat white gold, size 5½.

Condition

Accompanied by Gübelin report numbered 18011043, dated 23 January 2018, stating that the sapphire is of Ceylon origin, with no indications of heating; also accompanied by GRS report numbered GRS2016-073120 dated 29 July 2016, stating that the sapphire is of Sri Lankan origin, with no indication of thermal treatment, vivid blue (GRS type "royal blue"). Please refer to reports for further details. Inscribed 750 for 18 karat white gold, S24.22, D2.38 and D0.55 referring to the weight of sapphire and diamonds respectively. Sapphire is medium violetish blue of medium strong saturation, with typical inclusions, minor blemishes when examined under 10x magnification but hardly noticeable with naked eyes. Diamonds estimated to weigh approximately 2.5 - 3cts, are about F-G Colour, VS Clarity, as gauged and graded in the mount. Metal in very good condition. Overall in very good condition.
