Designed as a butterfly, set with fancy- and pear-shaped amethysts and buff-top calibré-cut turquoises, signed V.C & A., numbered, pouch stamped Van Cleef & Arpels.

Amethysts weighing approximately 35 to 40 carats are medium purple colour of medium saturation, with typical colour zoning not noticeable when worn, minor wear consistent with wear. Turquoise are medium slightly greenish blue and evenly coloured with minor matrix, well matched. Minor wear to the metal consistent with age. Brooch pin detachable. Overall in very good condition. Pouch stamped Van Cleef & Arpels.
