Description

  • Ruby, Diamond, Gold
Claw-set with a cushion-shaped ruby weighing 4.51 carats, within a surround of pear- and shield-shaped diamonds, the shoulders set with brilliant-cut diamonds, mounted in 18 karat white and yellow gold, size 5½.

Condition

Accompanied by SSEF and Gübelin reports numbered 87717 and 15037229, dated 20 September 2016 and 7 March 2015 respectively, stating that the ruby is of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating, SSEF further stated that the ruby may also be called 'pigeon blood red' based on their reference standard; also accompanied by GRS report numbered GRS2014-090378, dated 10 October 2014, stating that the ruby is of Burmese origin, with no indication of thermal treatment, vivid red (GRS type "pigeon's blood"). Please refer to reports for further details. Inscribed 750 for 18 karat white and yellow gold, R4.51 and D4.47 referring to the ruby and diamonds weight respectively. Ruby is medium dark red of intense saturation, with typical inclusions, some surface reaching, minor chips, nicks & abrasion under 10x magnification, but hardly noticeable with unaided eyes. Diamonds estimated to weigh approximately 4-4.5cts in total are about E-F Colour, VVS - VS Clarity, as gauged and graded in the mount. Minor signs of wear to metal. Overall in very good condition.
