Condition

The card is affixed to the backing board. The edges of the card are unevenly cut, in keeping with the Artist's working methods. There are some faint creases throughout, most prominent in the upper right quadrant and to the upper and right extreme edges. There is evidence of surface dirt and studio matter and one or two very faint scuffs. The backing board bears evidence of water damage. Subject to the above the work appears to be in very good overall condition. Inspection under ultra violet light reveals no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching. The work is held behind glass in a simple wooden frame. There is a further work by Jean Rose on the reverse of the backing board, dating from the 1950s.
