Gifted by the Artist to the family of the present owners in the 1970s

Condition

Structurally sound. There is a very tiny fleck of loss to the extreme outer tip of the spout, in line with historic use. There are further areas of rubbing and slight loss to the inside flange of the body of the teapot, only visible when the lid is off and again in line with historic use. There are also signs of light surface dirt and matter, including to the wicker handle, in line with age. This excepting the work appears in good overall condition. Inspected under ultraviolet light.
