Condition

The board appears stable. There is some extremely minor frame abrasion to the extreme edges with one or two very small flecks of associated paint loss, none of which are visible in the present frame. There are one or two pinprick sized paint losses to the sky and grass near the stable, and a couple of tiny rubs to the sky. There are some minor accretions and very light surface dirt throughout. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in very good overall condition. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals a milky and inconsistent varnish but no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching. The work is presented in a simple stained wooden frame.
