Condition
The sculpture appears sound. The surface of the sculpture is uneven and pitted in places in keeping with the Artist's working methods. There is some rubbing to protruding areas of the sculpture in places including to some of the ridges with one further more visible area to the front of the left-hand figure's left proper wing. There is some possible oxidisation to this area with further evidence of oxidisation to the integral base with one or two further more minor instances elsewhere. There are remnants of casting residue, surface dirt and studio matter to creviced areas. Subject to the above, the work appears in excellent overall condition. The sculpture has an integral Artist's bronze base and a separate base. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
