Condition

The sheet is adhered to the mount with strips of adhesive tape at the extreme edges. There are some areas of flakes of loss to the white pigment to the right of centre, with further instances of lifting and craquelure to impasto areas of white pigment just above centre and in the lower right quadrant, with possible instances elsewhere. There are one or two faint scratches to the black pigment in the upper right quadrant. There is time staining to the sheet, one or two instances of studio detritus and light surface dirt.
