Condition
The canvas is original. The canvas undulates slightly in places. There are two tiny flecks of loss in the sitter's scarf and one to the tip of her nose. There is a small area of frame abrasion in the lower left corner, with some tiny associated losses. The paint is thin in areas in her hair, near her proper left cheek. There is some surface dirt and studio matter in places. This excepting the work appears to be in excellent overall condition. Inspection under ultra violet light reveals no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching. The work is held within a simple wooden frame.
