Overall in good condition. The silver surfaces with minor scuffs, scratches, and a few areas of oxidation, consistent with age and gentle handling. The surfaces also present with minor dents throughout, most visible to the underside of the lid, likely inherent to the design and present from the time of production. The exterior of the lid with some traces of tarnish and silver polish residue, generally concentrated to the recessed areas of the design. The enamel with some hairline cracks throughout, and the central enamel element with a few small losses, the largest located on the left edge of the large central enamel measuring approximately 1/8 x 3/8 in. Seven of the twelve small enamel decorations around the central oval enamel have been lost, and four of those seven elements appear to have also lost the rounded convex silver element to which the enamel would have been applied. The interior with some residual silver polish concentrated to the edges and recessed areas by the hinge, which could be removed.
