Condition
Overall in very good condition consistent with age and gentle use. The wooden frame presents with minor scattered scuffs and surface scratches concentrated to the bases of the legs and outside edges. The top of the backrest and rear of the chair with gentle fading throughout. The proper left and right joins along the curve of the backrest with staining and evidence of possible older restoration. The rear proper right joint between the seat frame and leg with an area of restoration measuring approximately 1/2 x 1 in. (1.2 x 2.5 cm) and appears stable. The original upholstery presents with scattered dirt, evidence of wear and fading concentrated to the back of the chair, all consistent with age. A fine example of French Art Nouveau in very good original condition.
