Condition
Overall in very good condition consistent with age and gentle use. The frame with minor scattered rubbing, scuffs surface scratches concentrated to the bases of the legs and seam separation at the joins throughout. The upper proper left and right joins of the backrest panel and frame with some movement and should be stabilised. The proper front left corner of the seat frame with evidence of prior woodwork and is not visually disruptive. The original front leather backrest panel is slightly dry and presents with minor hairline cracks, scuffs, gentle staining and fading throughout. The upholstery on the panel on the rear of the backrest and seat have been replaced at some point in the chairs history. The seat upholstery with minor scattered scratching to the top layer and appears stable. A beautiful early chair in very good condition.
