Condition

Losses and flaking to gilding and surface dirt in places. Scattered minor old repairs and losses to carved foliate elements. Mirror plates along the side compartments with foxing, staining and losses to silvering, one plate lacking an area of glass approx. 4 in. long, another in the upper cartouche with a crack approx. 2.5 in. long, visible in catalogue photograph. Beautiful old backplate with minor old worm damage. Attractive design and good scale, ready to hang.
