each molded with the 'Goddess of Mercy' seated frontally, an iron-red cowl cloaking the hair and shoulders, the body draped in a turquoise-ground robe patterned with aubergine-toned chrysanthemums and lined in yellow, a white shawl painted with black bamboo stalks falling over the shoulders and back, the hands and proper right toes peaking out from the garments, each now drilled and now mounted as a lamp

Each figure drilled to the base and with wear to the surface (including scattered losses to the enamels). The aperture at each figure's back is from manufacture.
