sturdily potted, the interior centered with a medallion painted in underglaze blue with a boy wandering amidst bamboo and carrying an axe, the broad cavetto richly ornamented with shaped panels enclosing birds and flowers in iron red and gilt all reserved against an iron-red-ground accented with gilt foliate scroll and broad underglaze-blue ribbons, the exterior sides painted with three fruiting peach boughs, the base with fuki choshun ('wealth and everlasting spring') in underglaze blue, wood stand, 2 pieces

Condition

In overall good condition with a discolored glaze blemish to the center well at 10 o'clock, and some firing imperfections. There are 2 minute glaze lines at 6 o'clock.
