Enamel, emerald, sapphire and diamond brooch (Spilla in smalto, smeraldi, zaffiri e diamanti)

Designed as a dragonfly, the body set with circular-cut emeralds and diamonds, eyes highlighted with cabochon sapphires to en tremblant wings applied with plique-à-jour enamel and circular-cut diamonds, gross weight approximately 26 grams.

Signs of normal wear to the metal, signs of tarnish, scratches consistent with age and use. In good condition. Emeralds mid green, some sligtly lighter, with typical inclusions. Sapphires blue of medium saturation. Diamonds bright and lively estimated to weight a total of approximately 0.90 carats as gauged in mounting. One diamond deficient on the right lower wing.
