Description

Sugata [configuration]: Hon-zukuri, tori-zori with bo-hi on each lower side, changing to futatsu-hi on the upper part of the blade, chu-kissaki and iori-mune. Kitae [forging pattern]: Ko-mokume, some ko-itame Hamon [tempering pattern]: Nie-deki, suguha based, some midare Boshi [tip]: Ko-maru with kaeri Nakago [tang]: Ubu with single mekugi-ana, kuri-jiri, mumei In shirasaya [plain wood scabbard] Nagasa [length from kissaki to machi]: 72.9 cm, 28 2/3  in.Saki-haba [width at the yokote]: 2.2 cm, 13/15  in.Moto-haba [width at the machi]: 3.2 cm, 1 1/4  in.

Condition

Some damage and repair to the older shira-saya. Shira-saya is missing its handle. Blade in good state of recent polish with clear hamon and jihada.
