the eight-plate iron sujibachi kabuto with applied large hemispherical protrusions simulating rivets, maedate of a gilt horned shikami, four tier kittsuke-zane shikoro, fukigaeshi with gilt omodaka mon, iron menpo with broad moustache, yodarekake and nodawa, the mimai - do and all suspended components of gold-lacquered kittsuke-zane laced in kebiki-odoshi, with green and orange braid, gyoyo with omodaka mon, hyotan-gote, shino sune-ate, black lacquered Iyo haidate, with armour box Accompanied by a certificate of registration Juyo Token [Important Armour] by the Nihon Kacchu Bugu Kenkyu Hozon-kai [The Association for the Research and Preservation of Japanese Helmets and Armour].
Condition
There is slight damage to the kanemono on the top. There is some surface to the iron, particularly in the peak. The lacing of the shikiro is worn in places and there is some old damage to the lacquer of the shikiro. The skirt has some lacquer losses. The mempo has some damage to the lacquer in particular to the nose. As can be seen in the illustration, there is old damage to the sleeves and general ware to the lacing. Please note all armours by the nature of their use and age have some old wear overall. The armour box has old wear and damage consistent with the age and use of the object.
