Description

the helmet a russet iron hoshi-kabuto with a plume of white hair, with gilt copper kuwagata and a maedate in the form of a ken, three tier kozane shikoro, gilt choban mon on the fukigaeshi [turnbacks], iron facemask with moustache and large yodare-kake, the cuirass and o-sode of hon-kozane black lacquer laced in white and variegated silk braid, with sendan-no-ita and kyubi-no-ita, Iyo haidate, black lacquered iron tsutsu-gote and tsutsu-suneate waistband, paper saihai, with two armour boxes

Condition

The helmet bowl has some signs of surface rust and slight pitting but overall the shikoro is in good condition with a few minor chips. The brocade to the skirt is slightly worn and there are a few minor lacquer losses. Please note all armours by the nature of their use and age have some old wear overall. The armour box has old wear and damage consistent with the age and use of the object.
