"In his drawings, more than a man inspired, Orozco is an indefatigable student of human nature. His draftsmanship is a daily tool for solving formal equations. His straight line is barely modulated to deviate according to the path dictated by organic description. Usually he does not sharpen his instrument too much when dealing with a pencil; the Master draws directly and without hesitation, discovering shapes and archetypes and probing only while exploring still undefined solutions. And yet, while drawing, hidden forces inside him are so powerful sometimes that he may be taken for a primeval man in the cave of essential drives."
