This work is unlined. Instability had developed in the heavier pigment within the figure, and restorations have been applied particularly in her hips and thighs. Retouches can also be seen under ultraviolet light in her torso and left arm. These retouches are accurately applied, but they may be misleading. Although there is clearly loss to the painting, it is probably not as extensive as the retouches suggest. However, it is recommended that the work be hung in its current state.
