This work is in very good condition overall. The colors are vibrant. The canvas is well-stretched, and has been relined. Under raking light inspection, fine, intermittent vertical lines of craquelure spaced approximately one inch apart and extending the length of the canvas become apparent throughout, primarily in the left and right quadrants of the work. A few fine vertical lines of craquelure become apparent in the central upper and lower quadrants, primarily in the pink background areas. However, the media layer overall is stable, and this does not interfere with the overall visual effect of the work. Under ultraviolet light examination, a horizontal drip accretion measuring 2 ½ inches in length and a pinpoint spot accretion become apparent in the center right quadrant, in the uppermost horizontal white section. Additional fluorescence occurs which may be inherent to the pigments selected by the artist.
