Condition

The board is sound. There are a few nicks and losses to the board around the extreme perimeter of the composition, likely due to frame abrasion. There is some minor surface dust. Under UV, there is an area of inpainting on the man's right shoulder, and some strokes in the background at right. There are some very fine strokes of inpainting around the man's eyes and mouth. The work is in good condition.
