Condition

CASE The case is in fair condition, with wear throughout consistent with age and use. Several noticeable scratches at 5 and 6. Some light oxidation to the side of the case at 9 and to the top left lug. Some areas of debris between the top two lugs and to the back of the case. Additional area of prominent surface scuffs to the deployant clasp. DIAL Dial in overall very good condition MOVEMENT Calendar functions working properly. The movement is running at time of cataloguing, however it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Catalogue Note

Production of Ref. 5059 began in 1998 and ended in 2006. The successor to the highly collectible Ref. 5050, its combination of perpetual calendar and retrograde date functions, as well as the much loved Officer-style case, has made this an important model among collectors.
