Condition

CASE Case with scuffing and oxidation consistent with age and use. Crisp edges of the bezel still pronounce and attractive, with some heavier oxidation. Upper lug with some scuffing and some light scratches - a light indentation across the top. Case back is inscribed " Walter H. Baker May 26, 1945." Some losses to the gold at the outer edges to the backs of the pushers. Please note that the spring bars extend through the lugs. DIAL Dial remains attractive and legible with wear and some very light spots and dust. Some even aging overall. MOVEMENT Chronograph function operating. Reset pusher occasionally sticks and may require routine service at the purchaser's discretion. The movement is running at time of cataloging, however it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Catalogue Note

True to Universal Genève, the present lot attractively combines sporty features within a dress watch, dressed in yellow gold with hooded lugs. It is very interesting to note that the present lot bears a double signed dial dedicated to Cartier. The retailer is further confirmed on Universal Genève's Extract from the Archives which we are pleased to include with the lot.
